Local Church Leader
John
will willingly share his faith. Yet as one non-Christian in a secular
audience said, “He mentioned his church, but no one could be offended by
that; he mentioned it like one might mention going to the movies or going
out to eat.” Another said “Dr. Kline speaks to audiences made up of many
people who believe differently than he does. He communicates that he
respects and cares about everybody no matter what they believe.” For many
years, John had responsibility for international officers from around the
world who attended Air War College and Air Command College. Officers with
widely varying religious beliefs enjoyed his respect.
A Personal Message
John is much more direct
when speaking in a religious context or to a Christian audience. John has
been a professing Christian most of his life, but he says that his life
changed greatly in 1976 when for the first time he read completely through
the Bible in a year—a practice that he has continued every year since.
It was then that he began teaching adult Sunday School Classes.
While at Frazer United Methodist Church in Montgomery, Alabama his
classes averaged over 200 people each Sunday morning as Dr. Kline laced
his Biblical teaching with examples, humor and personal experience.
Church
Training
John draws from the Bible as
he takes the same leadership, communication and teambuilding concepts he
uses with corporations and the military and applies them to the church.
Dr. Kline contends these concepts apply especially to the church
since their foundations are based on Biblical teachings.
Looking Forward to Sharing with Your Group
If you would like John to
talk to your group, by all means contact
him. He is at his best when he is sharing his faith or conducting
training for the church. He will answer soon, but remember that he does
travel a lot, so sometimes it takes a few days to return a call, though he
usually responds to e-mail within a day or two. He does want to hear from
you.
